DZC was approached by the Alpaca Ranch in central Oregon to assist them in opening a boutique in downtown Bend, Oregon.  Our plan was to create a logo, signage, point of sale items as well as direct mail and business collateral solutions for the new boutique.  

After a location was selected we went to work.    As with most startups a brand concept and logo was the first item on the agenda since everything else would revolve around this. The Crescent Moon element was an established item in the ranch's logo but beyond that the client was wide open to our creative ideas for the boutique. 

The elegant and sophisticated nature of the alpaca products lead us to the rich gold and black color scheme. Once a basic look including color, graphic and font were approved by the client we created horizontal, square and vertical approaches to the logo for maximum flexibility of use.

From there it was time to work on the building's exterior.  Due to the selected location we recommended a top-lit store-front sign and a corner blade sign as well as a sandwich board and some window graphics.  Once those designs were completed they went into manufacturing. While that was taking place we were busy working on the clothing hang tags, we designed a vertical for pricing and a round brand tag.  These were printed black on a specialty gold stock, very sexy.  We were also designing the woven tags to be sewn into each garment and getting those manufactured back east.

The next step was to create office stationary sets including business cards, envelopes and letterhead.  We then created a direct mail campaign using post cards and gift cards. Finally a number of promotional items were developed for the grand opening.  Success, another very happy customer.
